In Cambodia, I was listening to a tour guide talking to a group of tourists. He said, “‘Siha’ of Sihanouk means ‘Lion’. You know a Singha beer in Thailand, It’s the same.”

Hmm, I checked it. ‘Siha’ of Sihanouk, who was a king of Cambodia, is from Sanskrit siṃha. ‘Singha’ of Singha Beer is the same. ‘Singa’ of Singapore is also the same.
